The Meitei Society expresses gratitude

CCpur, September 07 2026: The Meitei Society, Churachandpur expressed gratitude to all the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROS), Booth Level Officers (BLOS) and the entire staff of District Election Office, Churachandpur for successfully and smoothly conducting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Hearing for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) of Churachandpur presently sheltering in valley districts.

In a press release, the general secretary Meitei Society, thanked the AEROs for their welcoming attitude, patience hearing, and cooperation extended to the IDPs who are currently taking shelter in various relief camps at valley districts and those residing outside in rented houses.

The humane and professional approach as an AERO has greatly facilitated the participation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the SIR hearings, enabling them to present their concerns with ease and dignity, the release said.

The society also extended special thanks to the Commissioner Home, Chief Election Officer, Joint Election Officer, Deputy Commissioners, District Election Officer and Electoral Registration Officer Churachandpur.
