Active cases dip to 2 as one recovers

Imphal, June 16 2022:
The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state has come down to two after a patient, who was in home isolation, was discharged on Thursday.
On the other hand, government bulletins reported no fresh case on Thursday though 85 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The remaining two active cases are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,244 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated persons of which 61 had received second doses.
There are 100 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 47 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,456 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 6 new positive cases and no fatality.
A total of 116 D-type and 6 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 3398 vaccine doses administered on Saturday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,83,385, out of which 12,46,769 had received second doses and 1,02,770 had precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48754), Imphal East (130454), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3279), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704^Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,229 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,758 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,20,099 tests per million population against the national average of 6,08,889 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
