The protesters forced their way up to the gate of Raj Bhavan which is the official residence of Governor despite the State police trying to stop them.
The police, nonetheless, pushed the protesters back up to Congress Bhavan shortly.
Speaking to media persons, K Meghachandra said that they took out the protest demonstration to disapprove the repeated summoning of Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi by the ED.
Claiming that the ED is being weaponized by BJP to harass their political opponents, the MPCC president said that they were compelled to protest against the high handedness of the saffron so as to save the Constitution and democratic ethos .
Notably, the Congress in Manipur and other States have been protesting against the summoning of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi since the last few days.
