District Farmer's Award presented

Churachandpur, June 16 2022:
Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Churachandpur organised a District Farmer's Award distribution programme at the training hall of DIO Churachandpur on Thursday.
During the programme, the award was given to 5 exceptional farmers.
Over 100 chicks were also distributed to 7 beneficiaries by ATMA, Manipur nodal officer Th Joyprakash who attended as chief guest.
Prior to the distribution of the award, a farmers' training programme on 'Pest management and quality seed production of paddy under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana at Churachandpur' was held.
The training programme was organised by Department of Agriculture, wherein Agricultural Department senior AAOs Kh Nimaichand and L Sanatomba Singh spoke as resource persons.
The five farmers who received the award included Lalthonawk from Lamka Block for his success in Spice Farming, Zamlun Khongsai from Saikot Block for successful Integrated farming model, Dimneineng from Samulamlan block for her Income Assured systems, Letminthang of Samulamlan block for rearing of silkworm in Hill areas', and Haukhongam of Tuibong block for Integrated fish farming.
All the awardees were presented with cash award of Rs 20,000 each and certificates.
The function was also attended by department officials along with ATMA Churachandpur project directors MK Eleza-beth, M Gozendro and Lalruotlian Siuat.
