The respect shown towards the president of SAF by the delegates is a proof of how he has unified the federation, he asserted.
The MLA asserted that the world is akin to a large family.
And as such, it is the duty of the people to be empathetic and kind to each other.
"May this fraternity continue to flourish for a long time to come", the MLA concluded.
It is worth noting that SAF was established in 1990 with the objective of building fraternal relationships among the nine South Asian countries.
Another objective of SAF is to provide aid to the member countries during times of need.
With 32 years having passed since its inception, some of the federation's goals include checking the feasibility of using a common currency in the nine countries, common visa etc.
The two-day conference was held to discuss such matters.
