AR conducts health camps, repairs road

As part of its Civic Action Programme, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Army, successfully conducted two health checkup camps, reaffirming its commitment to community well-being and extending vital healthcare services to remote areas.
Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive health check-up camp at River Line, Chandel district on Wednesday with the aim to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of Chandel district and nearby villages.
The event received an overwhelming response, with over 100 individuals, including children, rural women, and expecting mothers, benefiting from the services provided.
Led by the Chief Medical Officer of Assam Rifles, the camp offered free consultations, check-ups, medicines, and health supplements.
In another collaborative effort, Assam Rifles and the Army jointly organised a medical camp on Thursday, benefiting the residents of L Toilbang, DMolaphai, M Simol, and New Laikot villages near Moreh town in Tengnoupal district.
Approximately 100 civilians received medical attention, addressing a spectrum of healthcare needs and underlining the commitment of the armed forces to community welfare.
The camp provided consultations and treatments, aiming to improve the overall wellbeing of the villagers.
This joint initiative reflects the dedication of both the Army and Assam Rifles to extending essential healthcare services to remote areas, fostering a healthier and more resilient local community, informed a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S).
In another statement, the PRO informed that Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) carried out road maintenance of more than one kilometre between Sugnu and Khambathel village in Kakching district.
The road is an essential link for villagers.
By maintaining the road, Assam Rifles contributes to the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure in the region.
It allows for the uninterrupted movement of vehicles and promotes regional connectivity.
Assam Rifles carried out road maintenance including filling of potholes to ensure smooth flow of traffic in order to support the socio-economic development of the region and to develop public trust, added the PRO.
