Imphal, January 11 2024:
Manipur QNet Fraud Victims' Welfare Association has lamented the absence of a government authority to check financial fraud in the state while stating that this lacunae has led to many innocent people falling prey to touts leading to loss of their hard-earned money.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club, here, on Thursday , Association secretary M Michael said that there are currently over 2000 victims of QNet network marketing in the state, including many who have been affected and displaced by the current crisis in the state.
The society also looks down upon the victims as if they are naive about such frauds.
In reality, they are the victims, who were led to such situation by the insistence of their friends and families.
The QNet fraud has left several families broken while many are forced to sell their properties, he said, while urging the government to expedite the investigation process and deliver justice to the victims.
