MAYOL urges youths

In light of the current restive situation, Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) has appealed to the youths of the State to come together in order to bring about a new and better Manipur.
During a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club, Ashem Prince, convenor, MAYOL said that 40 public meetings were convened as a part of MAYOL's 21-day long march which kicked off from December 20 and concluded on January 9 with a National assembly at Manipur University campus.
On behalf of MAYOL, Ashem Prince extended his gratitude to all the intellectuals, CSOs, clubs, organisations, associations, meira paibis, media fraternity, doctors, Manipur police personnel, transport associations and paramedical staff who contributed both physically and mentally to make the long march possible.
In addition, MAYOL thanked private individuals for their monetary and material donations as well as all participants of the long march.
The MAYOL convenor also assured to work towards realizing the seven declarations adopted at the National assembly at MU campus and sought the help and encouragement of the public to be successful in this endeavour.
Ashem Prince further highlighted the need for the youth to play a key role in dealing with the conflict situation in the State.
Asserting that youths are the backbone and the foundation of society, he urged them to unite for the cause of National Regeneration and building a better Manipur.
