Rahul's march for unity & justice: Mathew Antony

All India Congress Committee (AICC) media and communication in-charge Mathew Antony said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra of Congress to be led by Rahul Gandhi is for the unity and justice in the country.
Launching a pamphlet in connection with the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at Congress Bhawan, here, on Thursday, Mathew Antony recounted the party's Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir echoing the voices of the underprivileged and suppressed sections of the society.
After successful completion of the march, the party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, would be launching another march called Bharat Jodp Nyay Yatra aimed at uniting the public for justice.
The march will start from Manipur on January 14 and cover over 6000 km across 15 states, he said.
The media in-charge said that the country is witnessing highest unemployment rate in the last 45 years with crimes against women and children on the rise along with high inflation, and common people unable to save money in trying to make both ends meet.
The gap between poor and rich is expanding each day and peace nowhere in the country.
Though BJP is boasting of taking up several developmental initiatives, the country is facing shortage of water supply and electricity.
Roads are in bad shape and the BJP government is misusing public money.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is a people's campaign against such injustice and failing state of democracy and peace in the country, Mathew said.
While urging the public to participate in the march, he said that any person willing to join the march can register through its official website or by giving a missed call to mobile number 9891802024.Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president MLA K Meghachandra criticised the government for limiting the number of participants to attend the launch event.
Considering the development, the party has not yet announced the venue for flagging off the march, he said, while adding that the venue will be announced later in a press conference.
AICC Manipur in charge Girish Chadonkar, AICC CWC member Gaikhangam, CLP leader and former chief minister Okram Ibobi, MPCC treasurer MLA Th Lokeshwar and vice-president Loitongbam Tilotama were also present at the event.
