DC launches Ujjawala 2.0 enrolment drive

Imphal East deputy commissioner Khumanthem Diana on Monday launched enrolment drive under UJJWALA 2.0 in a programme organised by office of District Supply Officer, CAF & PD, Imphal East at different market place in the district.
DC Diana along with CAF & PD Imphal East district supply officer Haobam Bh upendra launched that drive at Khurai Lamlong Keithel, Andro Parking market near Palace Gate and Kongba Keithel.
In her address, Diana said that the enrollment drive is being launched especially for the women vendors eligible for the second phase of the UJJWALA scheme initiated by PM Narendra Modi.
She mentioned that the scheme targets provision of LPG connection to 24,000-plus households in the district along with explaining that UJJWALA 2.0 enrolment drive aims to cover women vendors belong to families who are yet to avail the benefits.
She informed that those eligible can enrol for the scheme by submitting their ration card, Aadhaar card, bank passbook and passport photo to the District Supply Officer, Imphal East or via online.
The drive will be also held from 7 am to 11 am on February 24, she added.
