U-14 Boys Cricket : SHADOW consolidate Group A pole position with 186-run thrashing of SYDO

SHADOW, Thangmeiband thrashed SYDO, Lilong by 186 runs at PTRC playground for the fourth win and to consolidate Group A pole position in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2023-24 .
After winning the toss, SHADOW opted to bat first and piled up a massive total of 237 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 30 overs before defending their total by bowling out SYDO for 51 runs in just 10.3 overs to earn the huge win.
Devis Khunjamayum led the batting front for SHADOW with a 47-ball 53 studded with 7 fours and 2 sixes as Yohenba hit five fours off 69 balls to add 42 runs to SHADOW's tally.
Maverick Wakambam was also unbeaten on 39 off 15 balls as SHADOW concluded their innings on 237/6 .

Md Zayeed was the pick of the bowlers for SYDA fetching two wickets while four others picked a wicket apiece.
Chasing 238 for the win, SYDO never looked in contention and eventually slumped to 51 all out in 10.3 overs as Arubam Goshan enjoyed a fifer (5/12 in 4 overs), and L Bidyasagar (3/22 in 3 overs) and Chinglemba Haobam (2/9 in 1.3 overs) shared other five wickets.
Arubam Goshan was eventually adjudged player of the match.
In a Group C match staged at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, PTRC, Patsoi Part IV eased to their third win by beating YPHUC, Lalambung by 27 runs.
Irom Ishor hit a ton (113 off 88 balls) in the chase for YPHUC but his effort went in vain as they succumbed at 193/8.Earlier, Ngambarel 88 and S Mangal 32 had fired PTRC to 220/6 despite Purujit Mutum's bowling charge (3/36) for YPHUC.
MPA, Thounaojam also sealed their third Group C win in four matches by registering a huge 155 run victory over SSC, Porompat at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium courtesy of centuries from Th Chinglensana (114 off 95 balls; 18 fours 1 six) and Chongtham Sitaranjan (103 off 79 balls; 20 fours 1 six) .
MPA erected a huge total of 273/1 in 30 overs and held SSC to 118 all out in 28.3 overs with the help of Sitaranjan (2/14), E Sanatomba (2/11) and Th Kantajit (2/27) .
RCA, Lilong in the meantime posted their second Group D win in four matches by beating SU, Sagolband by 84 runs at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
