Aid sought for new IDPs from Sugnu

Sunshine Club, Korshangtabi has appealed to all concerned to provide financial as well as material assistance to the newly internally displaced persons IDPs) of Sugnu whose houses have been destroyed due to continuous shelling by armed Kuki militants since February 14.According to a release issued by Sunshine Club, over 40 people from Sugnu have been rendered homeless following the bomb attacks carried out by the armed Kuki militants in Sugnu area.
The displaced people are presently being sheltered at Sunshine Club while some others are being looked after by the local meira paibis.
However, being a village mostly inhabited by economically underprivileged section of the society, people of Korshangtabi are facing problems while attending to residents of the relief camps.
As such, all concerned are appealed to donate in their respective capacities for the displaced people of Sugnu staying at the club, the release said while urging the authority concerned to take up immediate measures to solve the crisis which has seriously affected the people in general and the students in particular.
