Kumbi youth hold silent protest, demand peace and safe release of abducted Naga civilians

Youth for Kumbi on Saturday staged a silent protest, calling on the government to take urgent steps to end the ongoing violence in Manipur and ensure the safe release of six Naga civilians reportedly abducted by Kuki militants.
Speaking to the media, Youth for Kumbi member N Jeni th said the continuing instability in Manipur has created uncertainty and anxiety among the youth regarding their future prospects.
He noted that the violence, which has persisted for more than three years, has deeply affected students, sportspersons and other young individuals who had high hopes and aspirations.
Referring to the reported abduction of six Naga civilians, he said that despite the government's efforts to restore peace, their whereabouts remain unknown.
He urged the authorities to take immediate measures to locate the missing civilians and reunite them with their families.
He further expressed solidarity with the families of the missing persons, saying the people of Kumbi stand with them during this difficult period.
