Imphal, June 06 2026: In a gesture of solidarity, the People's United Youth Alliance (PUYA) held a two-day medical camp at Kaka Trade Centre, Z-Choro, and Aloyo Choro in Kamjong district along the Indo-Myanmar border, starting yesterday.

Dr Th Uthan also volunteered at the camp, providing health check-ups for residents living along the border.

The camp was organised in association with the Directorate of Health Services, National Health Mission, and Foothills Naga Co-ordinating Committee (FNCC) .

As part of the initiative, medicines, mosquito nets, and essential supplies were distributed to residents of the border villages.

Oinam Nicorson, PUYA spokesperson, said the camp was held to provide healthcare to residents of remote hill villages with limited access to medical facilities.

He added that they had requested the Health Directorate to assist in organising the camp at Z-Choro and Aloyo.

Nicorson said that the Health Directorate advised them to coordinate with the Kamjong Chief Medical Officer (CMO); however, the CMO did not attend the camp.

He thanked Dr Uthan for volunteering at the health camp and providing medical check-ups to the residents of the border villages.

Nicorson added that similar health camps will be organised in other remote villages.

The Headman of Kaka Village, Pamreishang, said that his village faces shortages in almost every essential facility.

Expressing happiness over the conduct of the health camp, the village headman expressed hope that people would continue to help one another.
