Imphal, February 19 2024: The 24th Foundation Day of Thongak Lairembi Masikol Semgat-Shagat Nupi Lup, Kangleipak was celebrated today at Manipur Press Club.

It was attended by Laishram Kumar, retired Deputy Ranger, Forest Department; Ningthoujam Rupachandra, retired Assistant Director, Commerce & Industries Department; and Yumnam Kamalini, president Thongak Lairembi Masikol Semgat-Shagat Nupi Lup as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Thongak Lairembi Masikol Semgat-Shagat Nupi Lup secretary Pukhram Bokulei gave a brief report on the activities carried out by the Lup in areas under its jurisdiction.

She also recalled the activities taken by the Lup to save youths of Meitei Langol area from the menace of drug & substance abuse and prevent crimes against women.

Bokulei shared that since the conflict began on May 3 last, the Lup has provided humanitarian aid at various places including Khojumantabi, Koutruk, Kadangband and Senjam Chirang.
