'Ngamnaba Lanphamse' dedicated to Meitei martyrs, floral tributes offered

Dedicating a song entitled 'Ngamnaba Lanphamse' to the brave souls who have laid down their lives to protect Manipur in the ongoing conflict, many gathered at Kongpal Social Development Organization Indoor Hall, Kongpal Khaidem Leikai to offer a floral tribute to the portrait of the martyrs.
'Ngamnaba Lanphamse' is sung by P Rajendro Meitei and Th Loijingkhombi with OC Meira as the lyricist, Kabita Elangbam as producer and Nanao Sagolmang as the composer.
Speaking as the chief guest, cultural activist Ningthouja Lancha stated that due to the conflict farmers cannot cultivate their lands and gun attacks have not stopped.

He accused the Indian Government of conspiring with the Kuki militants to prolong the violence and break the spirit of the people.
Calling for a reinvigoration of the people's movement, he urged them to honour the lives lost in the conflict and not be deterred till victory is achieved.
Commenting on the Prime Minister's statement, he said that the national leader had put the blame on the Meiteis and dubbed the entire episode as unfortunate.
He stated that instead of taking a holistic approach to all the crimes committed during the course of the conflict, the Prime Minister had cherry-picked a specific incident and flashed it in front of the entire world.
This in itself is a crime, he opined.
Stressing on the need for Meiteis to unite, he added that they should arrive at a common resolution to protect themselves as a community.
"We cannot be content with the Indian Government's assurance to preserve the territorial integrity of the State", he said.
