A skill development programme on 'Kajeng Lei' (traditional headgear adorn by women) making began today at the relief camp opened at Ibudhou Thangjing Guest House, Moirang.
The skill development programme is being conducted by Manipur Culture and Traditional Development Trust, Thoubal under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur L Bikram, IAS as a part of the ongoing training programme being held at Ibudhou Thangjing Guest House relief camp and Moirang College relief camp opened at Block A and B .

Speaking in connection with the training programme, Trust secretary Lata Irom said the training on traditional 'Kajeng Lei' making is being conducted with an aim to keep alive the tradition left by the forefathers to promote indigenous items.
At present, around 115 inmates from the three relief camps are participating in the training programme, she added.
Monetary assistance was provided to the trainees today to purchase the required raw materials needed for the training programme and the Trust also procured the products made by the inmates during the first training session.
