MPSC-B, Thangmeiband Youth PC enter 2nd Imphal West District Polo Tourney semis

Imphal, March 28 2023: MPSC-B will lock horns with Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club in the first semi-final match of the 2nd Imphal West District Polo Tournament being organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first quarter final match of the tournament, MPSC-B saw off Imphal Riding Club-B by 8-5 goals thanks to T Pradeepkumar's four goals.

The two sides were locked at 1-1 at the end of the opening chukker but MPSC-B raced to a 6-1 lead in the second chukker with T Pradeepkumar scoring three of his four goals.

In the third chukker, H Abung who opened the scoring for MPSC-B in the first chukker found another goal to make it 7-2 as N Ranjan scored for Imphal Riding Club-B.After Pradeepkumar scored his fourth in the opening minute of the final chukker, Paikhomba scored twice and L Avinash scored one for Imphal Riding Club-B in the final chukker but it was too late for them stage a comeback and eventually went down 5-8 .

In the second quarter final match, Thangmeiband Youth PC notched up a huge 7-1 win over K&MM Riding School-A as Sinam Saolin scored thrice- one each in the first three chukkers and Sinam Bonbon added all two goals in the final chukker.

Th Nongpoknganba and A Alex also added a goal each to help the winning side took a 3-1 till halfway and 7-1 at the end.

The only goal for K&MM RS-A was scored by W Johny barely a minute into the second chukker.

MPSC-A will play IRC-A in the third quarter final match tomorrow from 2 pm before K&MM RS-B play MPSC-C in the last quarter final match from 3 pm.
