5th Kid & 14th Mini Archery C'ship begins

The two-day 5th Kid & 14th Mini State Archery Championship 2022 organised by 9 IR (Mahila) Bn, Khuman Lampak commandant Khoisnam Sarma Devi under the aegis of Manipur Archery Association (MAA) began on Monday.
On the first day, event for Mini Indian Round for boys and girls were held.
In 30+30 metre girls' competition Ningombam Linthoisana of AAC won the top prize with total score of 669, with the second position secured by Lingthoi Sorensangbam of YAC (643) and third by Tonjam Kelbina Devi of KMAC (636).In the boys' competition for the same range, Yumnam Jackshon Singh of KMAC scored 693 points to clinch the title as Yumnam Bimolchandra of LM-LCC (680) finished second and Thiyam Volta Meitei of SICA (675) bagged the third prize.
On the other hand, KMAC team comprising T Kelbina Devi, Elangbam Lucky Devi and Waikhom Dhanamanjuri culled 1890 points to wrest the top title in the Team Indian Round girls' event, while BCAC team of S Lingjenthoibi, Nyanshi Akoijam and Tekcham Tenita (1697) won the second position and YAC team of Lingthoi Sorensangbam, Ningombam Lanchenbi and Sanasam Malemnganbi (1682) finished third.
In Team Indian Round boys, the top position was won by KMAC quartet Y Jackson, Wahengbam Suraj Singh, Moirangthem Tomba and Yumnam Bishonath, Singh with total score of 1998, as VAA team of Paikhomba Chongtham, Raju Moirangthem, Luhenba Heikrujam and Moirangthem Arunkumar (1907) secured the second position and UYSC's Moirangthem Joykaman, Clinton Elangbam and Wahengbam Simon Singh (1813) settled for the third place.
