AR distributes water tanks, organises friendly match

Imphal, December 26 2022:
Joupi Battalion distributed seven Water Storage Tanks (1000 litres) for Tuijang villagers in Chandel district under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme on Monday.
As Tuijang is a remotely located village, devoid of water storage facility the initiative will enhance Assam Rifles' public outreach programme and help alleviate difficulties faced by villagers of Manipur, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release, while quoting village headman as lauding the efforts of Assam Rifles towards uplifting the standard of living for people in the region and expressing hope that it would foster the bond between security forces and local populace further.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match with Lamlong Youth Sports Club, Tengnoupal district on Saturday as part of the Fit India Movement' to promote good health and foster cordial relations with the local population.
According to PRO IGAR (S), sports kits were also distributed to the players followed by an informal discussion on issues related to development, security and education.
