CPI observes 97th foundation day

The 97th foundation day celebration of Communist Party of India was held today at GM Hall organised by Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) .
As a part of the foundation day celebration, the centenary celebration of CPI which will be held for three years was also inaugurated, said a press release by Assistant secretary, MSC/CPI.
Langol Iboyaima, Chairman of Control Commission, MSC/CPI; Dr M Nara, Member of Central Control Commission, CPI; Lamja Tomba, Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) Vice-president; Nirmala Rajkumari, Progressive Writer Association (PWA) Vice-president and eminent members of Loumi Lup, AITUC, AIYF, AISF graced the occasion as the presidium members.

The attendees paid floral tributes to the photos of renowned party leaders and elders of CPI.
Addressing the gathering, the members of MSC/CPI and the dignitaries spoke in length about the objectives of the party which has been striving sincerely for the upliftment of the working class people.
They further assured that the party will continue to work to emancipate the poor people from the stronghold of capitalism to actualise the vision of an egalitarian society.
The speakers expressed firm belief that the number of activities lined for the centenary celebration will help in strengthening CPI across the country.
