41st State Open Tennis Championship : Sagolshem Bhicky claims men's singles title

Imphal, September 25 2022:
Sagolshem Bhicky clinches the men's singles title at the 41st State Open Tennis Tournament as Soham Keisham and Th Joshua won the U-12 and U-16 titles.
Sagolsem Bhicky eased to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Th Ribhaskar this morning to seal the men's singles title and walked away Rs 8,000 richer.
Runner up Ribhaskar on the other hand received Rs 4,000 and a trophy.
Th Joshua in the meantime sealed a 6-0, 6-1 win over Lanchenba for the U-16 boys singles titles.
Soham on the other hand won the U-12 boys title with a 4-0, 4-0 crushing win over Yohenba.
Winners and runners up in both the categories were feted with Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

The day also witnessed NK Singh and Tuleshwor clinched the doubles title for above 45 years with a 6-2, 6-4 beating of Jayanta and Umakanta today.
The winners were feted with a cash prize of Rs 4000 as runners up got Rs 2,000 .
Bernalli S and Paari Sharma who claimed the U-10 girls and boys titles respectively were also feted with Rs 2000 cash prizes with trophies while runners up Y Gucci (U-10 girls) and Ranchar (U-10 boys) got Rs 1,000 respectively.
U-14 girls singles winner Abha Sharma and runner up Hensena Th also received Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500 cash prizes respectively.
Men's doubles winners Bhicky and Padmeshor and runners up Brojen and Becker were also feted with Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.
Championship's pool prize of Rs 52,000 was sponsored by L Bihari, proprietor of Basic Sports Academy, Urembam who is also a former SBI manager and former IDTA president.
He also presented cash incentives to youngest girls player-Yumnam Gucci; youngest boys players-Dhruv Malik and Arnov Malik and ladies semi-finalists- Charmie Nongmeikapam and Th Hensana.
