AMGSU celebrates 55th foundation day

All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) celebrated its 55th foundation day at Kanglatongbi Mandir community hall on Sunday with participation of its Irang Part-I & II, Kanglatongbi, Pangei, Toribari-Kangpokpi, Motbung, Charhajare, SP, KKLP, Leimakhong, Moreh, Chandel, Serou, Churachandpur and Ukhrul units.
The programme was attended by Dhanamanjuri University vice chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon, Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat pradhan Meena Bista and AMGSU president LB Adhikari as chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively, while ATSUM president Paotinthang Lupheng, ANSAM president Wanglar Thiirtung, TSA president Houkholen Haokip, KSA president Sukham Bidyananda, KSO external VP Mang Simte and AMSU former president Manjit Sarangthem along with representatives of DESAM, SUK, AIMS and MSF the special guests.
The event was also attended by leaders of various Gorkha organisations like Gorkha Welfare Union, Bharatiya Gorkha Parisang-ha, Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Nepali Sanskriti Parishad Manipur, KGYA, advisors, executive members, members.
president/secretaries of AMGSU units, women societies, local clubs, Mandir societies and large public, said a Union release.
AMGSU also mentioned that the function was marked by grand finale of Gorkha cultural dance competition, felicitation of award winners of Gorkha community, blood donors, sportspersons, meritorious students and distribution of prizes to winners of the dance competition & 3rd state level quiz competition.
