Chilivai Naotuomai Me celebrates Silver Jubilee

Senapati, September 25 2022:
Chilivai Naotuomai Me (Women) celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the theme, "Women's role in the social change" at Lakhamai village, Senapati district on September 24 .
Chief guest of the programme, 47-Karong AC MLA, J Kumo Sha unveiled the Silver Jubilee Monolith at Shamaifii Centre (Lakhamai village) before it was dedicated by Rev K James Angam, field director Chilivai PNBA Circle No 1 .
Speaking on the occasion, J Kumo Sha stated that empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries.
He encouraged the women folk to teach the teachings and qualities of the forefathers to the younger generations.
The MLA also expressed his gratitude to the public for their support and electing him as their representative in the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Highlighting the role and responsibility of women in a society, M Shanti, former president Chilivai Naotuomai Me said, "Women are the primary caretakers of children and elders in every country of the world" .
She also elaborated on the need for gender equality in the present age and added that women deserve equal treatment in the society.
P Delilah Pao, president Poumai Naga Naotuomai Me also spoke on the occasion.
The programme was compeered by Ch Dinah & B Poune while N Thasiirou, chairperson Sirong Union pronounced the opening prayer and K Tinah, president CNM gave the welcome address.
K Kuchorou Jenny, jubilee convenor proposed the vote of thanks while the closing prayer was tendered by D Paveine, women chairperson Chingmai Khullen.
More than 300 delegates from 23 villages of Chilivai area took part in the programme.
Rev H David, pastor LBC released the jubilee souvenir.
