"Manipur Photography Club's door always open for photography enthusiasts"

IMPHAL, Sep 25: The Manipur Photography Club (MPC) organised a photowalk under the theme 'Morning Vibes Cheiraoching' today at Thangmeiband Cheiraoching with a view to promote photography and young photographers in the State.
Manipur Photography Club, one of the pioneer photography clubs in the State which has been working for promotion of photography in the State also distributed participation certificates to the 55 participants.
Speaking at the event, president of MPC Devendra Hijam said the work of the club had been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the photowalk under the theme 'Morning Vibes Cheiraoching' was first of the many events planned by the club.
Devendra Hijam also expressed gratitude to everyone who made the photowalk today a success.
Adding that there is a need to understand the intricate relation between nature and humans, Devendra Hijam added that everyone needs to play their part in protecting the environment.
He also added that photography provides a way to numerous youths to express their creativity who otherwise would wind up using drugs.
He added that MPC has been providing assistance to all aspiring photographers who want to venture professionally into this line of work.
Devendra Hijam also said photography, if pursued with interest, is also a well paying job.
Lamenting the lack of a professional photography institute in the State, Devendra said MPC has been organising training programmes with experts on the field from time to time but there is a need for establishing proper photography institutes in the State.
