KK Memorial 1st Division League : E Birendrakumar hits four as LMLCC overwhelm SDO 6-1 for tourney title

Imphal, October 23 2022:
LMLCC-Langmeidong were crowned champions of the 19th Ksh Kishokumar Memorial 1st Division Football League after a 6-1 win over SDO-Pallel in the last match of the tourney at Lamjao playground today.
With the win, LMLCC gathered 14 points off 4 wins and 2 draws in 6 matches of the 7-team tournament to pip DYA-Elangkhangpokpi who were leading on 13 points from 4 wins and 1 draw in the tourney.
PSYC-Phunal finished third in the tournament with 11 points from 3 wins and 2 draws.

In the last match of the tournament, E Birendrakumar took centre-stage as he banged home four goals in LMLCC's 6-1 win over SDO today.
S Kaiku (66') and Y Avinash (88') netted a goal each for the winning side in this one sided match as Kh Devaraj scored a goal in the 48th minute.
With the result, E Birendrakumar shared highest scorer accolade with Rengminger of PSYC and Ksh Gourdas with 7 goals in the names. SFC-Sugnu were adjudged best discipline team as Th Amarjit of LMLCC was named best goal keeper, A Yohenba of DYA was named best defender, Dangsha Marwin of PSYC was named best midfielder and Y Abhinash bagged the best player award.
