Imphal, June 12 2022:
Manipur women's judo team emerge 1st runners up in the Khelo India Youth Games being hosted by Haryana Government in Panchkula.
In all Manipur women's team won four medals including three gold and a bronze to finish first runners up.
Irengbam Kalpana fetched women team's third and State's (judo) fourth gold medal in the -63 kg competition today by beating Sneha of Uttar Pradesh in the final.
Gautami of Maharashtra and Neha of Haryana shared the bronze medals in the category.
The day also saw Ningthoujam Sheetal Singh win a bronze medal in the men's 81 kg event as Ravi of Haryana won the gold medal beating Kush of Gujarat in the final.

Yesterday, K Bishal (-66 kg), Huidrom Matouleibi (-52 kg) and Linthoi Chanambam (-57 kg) all won gold medals for Manipur after Ningthoujam Rohit (-50 kg) and Mutum Roshibina (-44 kg) had settled for bronze medals on June 10 .
Three State boxers also remained in the hunt for gold medals as Bishwamitra Chongtham (51 kg), Laishangbam Rabichandra (60 kg) and Griviya Huidrom boxed their way to the finals.
Bishwamitra won a decisive 5-0 win over his Delhi rival in the final today as Rabichandra eased to a 4-1 win over Madhya Pradesh rival.
Meanwhile Griviya edged out her Chandigarh rival 3-2 to confirm a place in the final.
After today's result, Manipur continued to remain in fourth place in the medal tally with a total of 25 medals including 17 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze.
It may be noted that Manipur won a bulk of 9 gold medals in Thang-Ta event at the games jointly organised by Haryana Government, Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and two gold and a silver medal in cycling.
