Imphal, June 12 2022:
While condemning the ban on schools managed by Catholic Education Society by an organisation on June 10 over disagreement with the authorities of the society, seven student bodies namely AIMS, AMSU, DESAM, KSA, MSF, SUK and ATSUM have called for revocation of the ban for the sake of students.
In a joint release, presidents of the seven student bodies appealed against causing any hindrance in the teaching learning process.
The future of the land including the solutions to the issues faced by the state will be brought by today's younger generation.
It is the objective of all those who want to save the land to ensure proper education of the students without any obstacles, it added.
All the acts that are occurring every year which stymied proper education including bomb attacks at educational institutes, bandhs and blockades, dearth of teachers, nepotism and favoritism in the education sector should be looked into by the government, the student bodies demanded.
The release also called upon all individuals and' organisations not to take up any action which will affect the students even if there is disagreement with school authorities.
Reiterating the demand for revoking the ban on educational institutions, the student bodies appealed to allow students to learn freely without any fear.
