MoU signed for coaching scholarship

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Manipur president M Barish Sharma and JEC1, New Checkon have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for providing scholarship to 200 students who are preparing to appear in competitive examinations like civil services exam of UPSC.
The MoU was signed during a simple function themed 'Youth in administration' at Princeton International Higher Secondary School, Kshetrigao.
Speaking at the event, JEC1 director Amarjit An-gom informed that 50 out of 200 civil services aspirant students to be sponsored by Barish for the coaching are from Wangkhei AC and the remaining students are from other constituencies.
Barish will bear 85 percent of the coaching fee for these students and the remaining 15 percent will be borne by the student themselves, he said, adding that coaching for first batch students will begin from July this year and duration of the coaching is eight months.
Deputy secretary (agriculture) Sheikh Abdul Hakim, who was also present at the MoU signing function, said the scholarship scheme launched by Barish will immensely help civil services aspirant students as cost of taking coaching for the examination is very high nowadays.
He also said that reading national papers like The Hindu and The Indian Express would help civil services aspirant students.
Regarding the scheme, Barish Sharma said that the scholarship scheme is being launched as part of his dream to do something good for youth of the state and the scheme has been made possible after meeting JECI chairman Amarjit.
He then advised civil services aspirant students to work hard to be successful in life and gain as much knowledge as possible before crossing 40 years of age.
