CPI decries rape, stages sit-in

Imphal, February 10 2014:
Registering strong protest against the rape of a 14 years old girl from Churachandpur district by son of their land-lord at Munirka in South Delhi on February 7, Communist Party of India (CPI), Imphal East unit staged a sit-in-protest at Khurai Lai Khulembi Mamang today.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the protest, RK Amusana, secretary of CPI, Imphal East unit demanded resignation of Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde alleging that he has failed to protect people from north east residing in Delhi and urged the Chief Minister of the State O Ibobi Singh to come up with prompt measures to avoid recurrence of such incident in future.
