National Integration tour flagged off

Imphal, February 10 2014:
A National Integration Tour organised by 22 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(S) as part OP SAMARITAN project from Kakching to Mumbai and Pune and comprising 20 students including 12 girls and 8 boys alongwith 5 teachers of Morning Dew School, Martin Grammar School, Sora Junior High School, Azad National Hindi College, Grace Cottage Cultural and Educational Development Foundation of Thoubal district was flagged off today by Brigadier Gajender Joshi, SM, Commander 28 Sector Assam Rifles.
During the tour spanning from 10 Feb to 23 Feb 2014, the children would be exposed to the cultured diversity of Mumbai and Pune.
At Mumbai the students will be visiting several places namely Gateway of India, Haji Ali, Film City, Juhu and Marine Drive.
They would also interact with Senior Military commanders of the Army and the Navy.
At Pune, the children will visit National Defence Academy (NDA) and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).
The tour is aimed at broadening the horizons of imagination of these young students who are the future of the Nation, PRO IGAR (S) said in a statement.
