Miss India contestants : A day of Polo and Govindajee Temple

Imphal, April 11 2023:
The 30 State winners of Femina Miss India, divided into two batches visited Shree Govindajee Temple and a game of Polo in the afternoon.
One of the groups with 15 State winners paid a visit to the Temple, which is also the largest Vaishnava Temple in Imphal, and were extremely overwhelmed with the positivity that drove the space.
This was a much-needed peaceful experience that the girls needed before the grand finale.
The Temple welcomes people from all beliefs to come together and worship.
The other 15 contestants visited Imphal Polo Ground to witness the iconic game of modern Polo which originated in the State.

The State winners were received with fanfare by the All Manipur Polo Association members and women players.
The event started with a welcome speech from the president of the All Manipur Polo Association followed by a brief 'meet and greet' with the polo players.
The proceedings continued with a short display of the traditional Polo game, also called Sagol Kangjei.
This was followed by another short game of modern Polo by the Manipur's women team.
Post the game, the girls interacted with the women players and also got to ride the ponies.
The day ended with a brief photo session of the State winners with the players as well as the association members.
The Grand Finale of the Femina Miss India hosted by Manipur Tourism will be held on the 15th of April at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium in Imphal.
The pageant will feature the 30 State winners, who will be competing for the coveted title.
The winner of the pageant will represent India at the Miss World pageant.
The glamourous evening will witness the attendance of many celebrated personalities.
The star-studded night will feature performances by the entertainment industry's biggest names Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan.
The show will be anchored by the magnetic Maniesh Paul and the stunning Bhumi Pednekar.
The State winners will walk the ramp in gorgeous ensembles designed by the notable designers Rocky S and Namrata Joshipura, and a special showcase by Robert Naorem, featuring traditional costumes.
This special segment will aim to promote the textile, art and culture of the State.
The 30 State winners will be judged by a panel consisting of Femina Miss India Universe 2002 and Mentor Neha Dhupia, boxing icon Laishram Sarita Devi, star choreographer Terence Lewis and ace designers Rocky S and Namrata Joshipura.
The reigning Miss India winner along with a few of the former title-holders will also be putting up a dance performance through a fashion-round segment.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh will attend the event.
