Aid provided to snake bite victims

Imphal, April 11 2023:
Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) extended life saving medical assistance to one Mangisana (38) of Moirang village in Bishnupur district who was bitten by a snake on his right ankle at 8.40 am on Tuesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Mangisana had minimal local swelling with minimal pain at the site of bite and was brought by relatives to the Unit hospital of Assam Rifles at 9.35 am on Tuesday.
The medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised his condition.
The individual is on the road to recovery and he further thanked Loktak Battalion and the medical staff for rendering timely medical assistance.
Meanwhile, the Battalion also extended life saving medical assistance to another snake bite victim, Oinam Rani (38) of Moirang village on Tuesday.
Rani was also bitten by a snake on anterior aspect of right ankle at 9.20 am oil Tuesday and brought to the Unit hospital of Assam Rifles at 11.05 am by her relatives with minimal local swelling and minimal pain at the site of bite.
The medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised her condition.
The individual is on the road to recovery and she further thanked Loktak Battalion and the medical staff for render ing timely medical assistance which saved her life.
