Assam Rifles units conduct lectures

Imphal, April 11 2023:
Khuga Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted lecture on 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' (BBBP) scheme in rural village of Churachandpur district on Tuesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the scheme aims to educate citizens against gender bias and to improve efficacy of welfare services for girls in border villages.
The awareness regarding benefits of girl child is also aimed to control female foeticide.
The event organised at COB, H Khunou of Churachandpur district started with interaction with villagers including eight parents and 12 girl child.
Meanwhile, Joupi Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) conducted a motivational lecture for students of Primary School, Tuijang on the topic "Life opportunities in India" in Chandel district on Monday.
The lecture focused on educating young school students about various facets of opportunities present in India and various criteria and eligibility for getting enrolled.
Students were also briefed about the various government schemes in India.
A total of 14 primary students and two teachers including eight females attended the lecture.
The students appreciated the efforts of the COB and Battalion for conducting such an informative and motivational lecture.
