Suspected CSF spreads in Longmai

Noney, November 15 2022:
NONEY: Suspected cases of Classical Swine Fever (CSF) spread in Longmai Part-4 Peaceland, Noney district headquarters and its surrounding areas.
Owing to large scale death of pigs and piglets, the pig/swine rearers (farmers) are in fear of suffering loss in their business.
Till now, around 10-20 pigs have perished in a farm.
Meanwhile, a team of Veterinary Department officials led by two veterinary officers reached the affected area and collected blood samples.
The team also conducted post-mortem report of which will be submitted to the Directorate of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Imphal for further investigation and clinical testing to diagnose the actual cause of death.
On the other hand, farmers have appealed to the department concerned for taking up necessary action and controlling the spread of the unknown disease.
