Award-winning teacher introduces inspiring awards

State Teacher's Award 2022 recipient, Seikholen Singsit, a science teacher and headmaster of Keithelmanbi Government High School, introduced various inspiring awards for his students during the school's 53rd Children's Day celebration on November 14.After transforming the Keithelmanbi Government High School and turning the wall of the otherwise dull classroom into colourful and informative paintings from his own pocket, the award-winning teacher introduced the attractive awards during the Children's Day event with an aim to motivate his students.
Normally, Children's Day celebrations are common everywhere but for the first time the true meaning of the celebration which aims to raise awareness about the rights, education and welfare of children has been witnessed at the Keithelmanbi school.
With an aim to enhance competitiveness, the School organised a grand Children's Day celebration, during which Seikholen Singsit introduced various outstanding awards like smartest kid of the year award, communication award, obedience award, artist of the year award, helping hand award, homework hero award, and improvement award, apart from normal awards like best student, best discipline award, attendance award, etc., to motivate the students.
Interestingly, the headmaster arranged the awards from his own pocket again and also introduced various other awards in the name of the school forerunners.
In honour of the departed souls of the school forerunners, the Haolun Memorial Meritorious Award of Attendance was presented to Lhingdeinei Kipgen of Class IV.
Late Haolhun was the first SMDC chairman and also the then chairman of Keithelmanbi Village Authority.
Thangkam Singsit Memorial Meritorious Award of Best Student (male) was handed over to Paolunlal Sitlhou of Class IV Thangkam Singsit was the founder headmaster.
S Lienkhopao Memorial Meritorious Award of Best Student (Female) was presented to Neilhing Kipgen of Class VII.
Lienkhopao took charge as the 4th headmaster of the school in 1969.Tika Dhital of Class X was given the communication award of the year, Purna Tamang of Class VII named the Smartest Kid of the year and Muskan Bhattarai of Class VIII received the discipline award of the year.
Class attendance awards were handed out to Lalboimang Khongsai (nursery), Seikhojang Singsit (KG), Kimjemhoi Sitlhou (Cl-III), Lhingdeinei Kipgen (Cl-IV), Lamneineng Lhouvum (Cl-V), Tongjilthang Chongloi (Cl-VI), Nengdeikim Chongloi (Cl-VII), Chongunhao Singson(Cl-VIII), Kamgunsei Kipgen (Cl-IX) and Lhingkhanching Kipgen (Cl-X).
The other awardees are Anju Darnal of Class VII (improvement award), Anu Thapa of Class VII (homework hero), Rohit Tamang of Class VIII (helping hand award), Lenkhochon Sing-sit of Class VII (artist of the year - junior), and Lunminsei Kipgen of Class IX (artist of the year - senior).
Excellence in Sports performance is handed over to students in different categories with certificates, medals, and other presentations on an auspicious day.
The convocation marked the showering of cultural extravaganzas, dances, songs, etc., by students in a gala-filled environment.
Like never before, the grand celebration and the important day wais solely funded with the contributions from Teachers of the school.
Headmaster Seikholen Singsit thanked all the teachers, parents and students for all their contributions and support and call for the uplift of the school.
