Two bodies found, family claims one

Imphal, November 15 2022:
Lifeless bodies of two men, one from the bank of Imphal River near Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel and the other in a rental room at Mantripukhri Muslim Colony, were been found on Tuesday.
According to police, corpse of a man in its initial stage of decomposition was found along the Imphal River bank around 9.10 am.
After examination by mobile forensic unit, the body has been kept at RIMS mortuary for post mortem while Imphal police station has registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case for further investigation.
The man found clad in a red colour chequered long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a rubber sandal, is about 164 cm in height, has a round face and wheatish in complexion, the police informed, adding that the body shall be disposed of if no one claims it within 5 pm of November 20.The other body later identified as Ngangom Inaocha (28) son of Kulamani of Keinou Thongkha in Bishnupur district was found in a rental room at Mantripukhri Muslim Colony in Imphal West district.
Heingang police has registered an UD case for further investigation, while the body has been handed over to family after post mortem done at JNIMS mortuary.
