Assam Rifles units celebrate Children's Day

Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) celebrated Children's Day at Government Primary School, Larong and Sangai Auditorium, Pallel Garrison in Chandel district on Monday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the event at the Larong school included motivational speech and distribution of stationery to 35 children in the presence of four teachers.
At Sangai Auditorium, motivational speech, cultural songs, drama and cultural fashion show were the highlight of the event attended by 225 children and 15 teachers of ARPS, Pallel.
On the other hand, the Battalion also presented Information Technology equipment to Saint Joseph School, Chandel to inculcate e-learning among students on the occasion of Children's Day celebration.
During the event, Modi Battalion commandant delivered a motivational speech followed by cultural songs and cultural dance.
A total of 245 children, 70 parents arid 16 teachers of Saint Joseph's School attended the event.
Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR (South) also organised Children's Day celebrations at Terignoupal, Khudengthabi, Saibol and Sita villages wherein over 800 children from various villages along with school staff and village authorities attended.
Drawing competition, poetry recitation, singing along with a few outdoor activities were also organised for the children during the event, which culminated with offering of refreshments and distribution of stationery and gifts to all attendees.
