World Diabetes Day observed at Moreh

Moreh, November 15 2022:
World Diabetes Day was observed by District Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Cell, National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) along with District Health Society (DHS), Tengnoupal district at the conference hall of Sub Divisional Hospital, Moreh, on Monday.
The observance held under the theme 'Education to Protect Tomorrow' was attended by Tengnoupal chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Jangkholun Touthang as chief guest, DNO Telemedicine Dr Moshilpha as functional president and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Moreh Lalrietsang alias Sasang Hmar as guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jangkholun appealed to the public to take preventive measures against diabetes and advised anyone suspected to be suffering from the disease to visit the Moreh Sub Divisional Hospital for free blood sugar test along with getting free of cost treatment and medicines if found to be diabetic.
Later, Health Liver Campaign for World Hepatitis Day Observance was organised under the aegis of National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP), National Health Mission & Directorate of Health Services Manipur at the Hospital's conference hall under the theme 'Bringing Hepatitis Care Closer to You, Hepatitis Can't Wait' .
