BJP celebrates 42nd foundation day

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 42nd foundation day in the attendance of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and several party leaders at Thambal Shanglen, Nityaipat Chuthek today.
The observance began with N Biren unfurling the party's flag.
Later, a procession was taken out from Thambal Shanglen and headed towards Kangla Park.
The procession passed through Paona Bazar before concluding at the starting point.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed best wishes to all the party members through video conferencing.
At the function, N Biren Singh stated that the BJP was founded by leaders such as Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mukherjee who dedicatedly work to unite the people of the country and uplift the poor.
"India as a whole has been witnessing a tremendous change since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014," N Biren said.
Saying that he is proud to be a member of the BJP which is farsighted and believes in united India, N Biren greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda said that the people placed their faith in the party as the party treats everyone equally and understands the sentiment of the masses.
A Sharda thanked all the people of Manipur for giving BJP a landslide victory in the 12th Assembly election.
She also thanked Prime Minister Narendra and other Central leaders for withdrawing AFSPA and implementing ILPS.
