Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has said the association will look into various reports of some private schools charging tuition upto the month of May when the classes ended in March.
In a statement issued today, S Bidyananda, president KSA, said Brilliance School, Malom is reportedly collecting tuition fees for Class XII students upto the month of May while COMET School.
Changangei is reportedly collecting additional fees to meet sanitization, electricity and water expenses.
KSA takes such incidents very seriously and will look after the issues of school administration converting schools into a business centre rather than a centre for imparting knowledge to students, S Bidyananda added in the statement.
S Bidyananda also urged the Government for implementation of the Manipur Private School (Registration and Regulation Act, 2017) at the earliest to bring all the private educational institutes under a common regulation.
