Cycle rally promotes fitness movement

Modi Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles in collaboration with Chandel Cycling Club (C3) undertook a cycle rally to promote 'Fit India Movement' and 'War on Drugs 2.0' on Wednesday from Pallel to Khongjom War Memorial and back to Pallel covering a distance of around 29 kilometres with 75 cyclists participating in the rally.
According to an AR statement, the event was organised to promote fitness, health and well-being among the Chandel denizens, especially the youth.
The rally also aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need to eliminate it from society.
DIG HQ 26 Sector Assam Rifles flagged off the cyclists and highlighted the importance of fitness and making physical activity a part of their daily routine and encouraged them to take up cycling as a means to stay fit.
The event was a testament to the commitment of Assam Rifles to promoting the well-being of the citizens of Manipur and the nation at large.
The cycle rally, participated by 60 riders, also included Chandel deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar, 21 Assam Rifles CO Col Abhimanyu and Chandel SDPO Chamna Anal.
