EPFO notifies firms to remit their dues

Imphal, March 23 2023:
Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Special State Office (SSO), Imphal has informed all defaulting establishments including National Institute of Technology, Manipur; Smart Universal Academy; Public Hospital and Research Institute; Slopeland Public School; Maurya Construction; Meitei Construction Pvt Ltd; and Golden Valley Travels Services to remit their respective defaulting dues to avoid any coercive action initiated from EPFO Recovety Section, Union Ministry of Labour & Employment.
In a release, EPFO, SSO, Imphal informed that it has already issued notification for attachment of bank accounts in respect of the said establishments, apart from many other such establishments, under relevant sections of the EPF & MP Act, 1952.EPFO has also already launched 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0' on January 27 and now will be reaching out to the stakeholders, with regular periodicity, i.e., 27th of every month, thereby increasing accessibility of its services and visibility in all the districts, it added.
The release further informed that EPFO has also launched process to identify the defaulting employers and establishments who have been avoiding the extension of the rightful benefits and depriving the benefits to its employees and workers, knowingly or otherwise.
