Employees' Provident Fund Organisation notifies

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has informed seven establishments to remit their defaulting dues to avoid any coercive action initiated by the Recovery Section of the EPFO under Ministry of Labour & Employment.
A press release issued by the EPFO has identified the seven defaulting establishments as the National Institute of Technology, Manipur; Smart Universal Academy; Public Hospital and Research Institute; Slopeland Public School; Maurya Construction; Meitei Construction Pvt Ltd and Golden Valley Travels Services.
The statement further shared that the EPFO will be reaching out to the stakeholders, thereby increasing accessibility of their services and visibility in all districts, with regular periodicity on the 27th of every month, adding that the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 was launched on January 27, 2023 .
The statement further pointed out that when any employer/owner defaults in payment of the EPF dues, the ultimate sufferers or victims are the poor workers or employees who have been saving their hard earned money to avail the social security benefits envisaged under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 .
