Noney Bn celebrates "Vijay Diwas" with students

Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR and IGAR (East) celebrated "Vijay Diwas" in Noney district on Friday.
"Vijay Diwas" is commemorated on December 16 every year to celebrate the victory of the Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war.
This year marks the 51st anniversary of the epochal event, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
The day is also celebrated to remember the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen Indian soldiers.
To commemorate the day, 19 students and staffers of 'Hope Children Home' were invited to attend a lecture highlighting the importance of Vijay Diwas.
The students were given a brief history of the war and insight into the bravery and valour of the Armed Forces in the war.
After brief history and lecture, the attendees were served with snacks and lunch which was catered for them.
The students and staffers were overwhelmed by the kind gesture and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for organising such an event.
They also mentioned that events like these are a big source of inspiration and motivation for the young minds.
