CM Biren Shillong bound for NEC event

Imphal, December 17 2022:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh left for Shillong on Saturday to attend the golden jubilee celebration of North Eastern Council (NEC), which will be held on Sunday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the event as chief guest.
The celebration will be held at State Convention Centre, Shillong on Sunday.
Sources informed that CM Biren will also join various other functions including laying of foundation stone of various projects for Meghalaya and other states in the northeast by PM Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister will kick-off projects worth Rs 2450 crore in different states of north east.
On Sunday, the PM will inaugurate four road projects of Manipur, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in addition to inaugurating 21 Hindi libraries of Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Assam.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of 6 road projects to be taken up in Manipur, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura.
