UCM presents Christmas gift to Kom village

In connection with Christmas festival, United Committee Manipur (UCM) presented gift to Ichum Keirap Kom village in Kangpokpi district with the main objective of strengthening relation and promoting harmony between hills and valley people.
The Christmas gift presentation event held at the village was attended by UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam, vice president YK Dhiren, secretary Ng Deba Singh, publicity secretary Leishemba Lamaba, Kom Union president Ahao Kom, secretary Akim, information secretary Angkhup and treasurer K Rosyline Kom apart from village chief, secretary, pastor, women s wing, youth and village elders.
Whilepraying for ushering in social equality with the celebration of Christmas, Joychandra said that religion can bring peace among different communities which politics and money could not.
He also promised that UCM will extend all possible help for the welfare of Kom community including provisions of government schemes.
