Speaking in this connection, K Tolen, member, KLEPCO stated that the two rivers had become a dumping ground for garbage.
This had rendered the water unclean and prevented people from using it in their daily lives.
As a result, the initiative was launched to clean up Khujailok and Lailok rivers.
He also sought the support of the people in carrying out the cleaning initiative.
Notably, 5 Assam Rifles, Moreh also provided aid in today's cleanliness campaign in the form of a JCB to help in the cleanliness efforts.
KLEPCO has also extended their heartfelt gratitude to 5 Assam Rifles, Moreh for their generosity.
