Rojina shines as MU women's archery team clinches three gold medals

Imphal, December 27 2022:
The Manipur University women's team on Tuesday won three gold and one bronze medals in the ongoing All India Inter University Archery Championship 2022 hosted by Guru Kashi University, Bathinda, Punjab.
L Rojina Devi of Kakching Khunou College stood out among her team members by clinching three gold and a bronze medals.
Her triple gold medal included two in individual competition.
In the individual competition, Rojina won both women's Indian round ranking and Indian round 50m events while she collected the bronze medal in the Indian round 30m contest.
Rojina's other gold medal came courtesy of a team event.
She alongside her collegemates M Baby Devi, Milennia Thokchom and N Soniya beat the team of Punjab University, Patiala by a 6-0 margin in the final of the women's Indian round team's event.
The MU women's archery team was accompanied by team manager B Surha Sharma, assistant professor Regional College, and coach L Shamme Sharma of Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports, Manipur.
Meanwhile, the vice-chancellor of Manipur University and members of MU Sports Committee congratulated their triumphant women's archery team.
