Sialna JB school headmaster under scanner

Alleging dereliction of duties as a headmaster and enjoying salary without attending office, Sialna Youth Club has lodged a complaint to the local MLA for initiating punitive actions against the erring headmaster.
Following the complaint lodged by Sialna Youth Club president Thangzamang and secretary Tongminlal, Singngat AC MLA Chinlun-thang visited the school on Tuesday and interacted with teaching and non-teaching staff of the school to get to know the roots of the issue.
Sources informed that Sialna Village JB School headmaster Nehemiah Lunsianmung has been withdrawing his salary without attending office/classes for a period of 19 months starting from March 2021 .

MLA on December 7, 2022 following which the MLA wrote a complaint letter to the CEO/ADC, Ccpur.
Not satisfied with the process of enquiry, the MLA sent a reminder complaint to the Churachandpur DC for fresh enquiry on December 21 .
Subsequently, an enquiry was carried out along with the MLA, deputy inspector (DI) of schools namely Daikhansuan, assistant inspector (AI) Vungmuanching and newly posted headmaster in-charge Dalsuanmung on Tuesday.
However, it was found that the headmaster in question has been transferred to Milongmun JB School under Thanlon Sub division by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the December 16, 2022 purportedly to shield him from the enquiry process.
On the other-hand, apart from carrying out inspection of the school at Sialna, the MLA also assessed progress of work he had initiated at Sialna village such as the approach road, development of playground at Saichang village, constructions of library hall under the KKL at Khomunnuam and community hall under his MLA local area development fund at Muvanlai village.
According to the MLA, the CEO/ADC Churachandpur is a habitual late comer and attending office only after 2 pm on regular basic is also causing inconveniences to the subordinate staff for they are compelled to work till late evening.
